Kristoffer Park, Ph.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

PSY31665 (California Board of Psychology)

Hi! I’m Dr. Kristoffer Park and my pronouns are he/him/his.

My career has been dedicated to helping individuals and families break down the mental, relational, and environmental barriers keeping themselves from embracing and empowering their sense of self in the world.

Raised in Atlanta, GA and it being the melting pot that it is, I grew up with diverse populations and believe cultural knowledge, awareness, and responsiveness to be paramount in understanding one’s self and others. I excelled in Math and Sciences in school and was actually interested in pursuing Engineering at first but was drawn to Psychology due to my desire and passion for strengthening the well-being of my community.

For over 10 years, I have been privileged and honored to work with a variety of populations and presenting issues.

I received both my Master’s and Doctorate degrees at the APA-Accredited Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology where I received training at various institutions including the Veteran’s Affairs, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), Virginia Beach Public Schools, Neuropsychology Assessment Center at EVMS, Juvenile Detention Center at Virginia Beach, and the Child Abuse Center with the Children’s Hospital of King’s and Daughter’s.

I moved to Denver, CO where I completed my APA-Accredited Pre-doctoral Internship at Aurora Community Mental Health Center (AMHC). My training revolved around working with refugees at the Asian Pacific Development Center, Autism Spectrum Disorder and neurodivergence at the Intercept Day Treatment Center, and individuals and families presenting with a diverse range of issues at AMHC. I completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa, CA at the Department of Child & Family Services and at the Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.

All of my training has given me the expertise and specializations to work with those navigating depression, anxiety, complex trauma and abuse, family and cultural conflict, and neurodivergence. I am always educating myself and collaborating with other experts in honing my craft, which has developed me into being fluent in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Mindfulness-Based Interventions.

In my free time, I love climbing, making music, painting, watching documentaries, and getting lost in a book.
